Golf Biomechanics
If you want to lower your handicap and/or prevent injuries on the golf course, then Golf Biomechanics is for you. Brady and Annette Anderson are both fully-qualified C.H.E.K Institute Golf Biomechanics, leading Western Australia in golf performance.
Golf Biomechanics incorporates preparing the body to be in optimal condition for the game and involves 4 stages as follows:
- Flexibility
- Stability
- Strength
- Power
Each phase is never complete until the Golf Biomechanic believes the Golfer to be proficient enough in that phase. Diligent practice both on golf technique and the Golfer’s body will lead to quicker recovery post-match, fewer injuries (if any), a lower handicap and winning the longest drive competition at your company’s corporate golf days.
A misperception of Golf is that it is requires more technical skill than athletic. Paul Chek, founder of the C.H.E.K Institute in San Diego and a leader in the field of Health and Fitness in the USA, states:
‘Amateur golfers achieve approximately 90% of their peak muscle activity when driving the golf ball. This is the same lifting intensity as picking up a weight that can only be lifted four times before total fatigue. Yet golfers fail to consider that they strike the ball on average 30 to 40 times a game with comparable intensity!’
